The Lancers Lately Crew (2020-21)

I took Video Productions because I wanted to experience the filmmaking process. I also hope to learn how to be more comfortable on camera and expand my knowledge in videography. During quarantine, I learned how to play the ukulele, as well as brush up on my piano skills. On top of that, I’ve been reading and writing a lot. Once this pandemic is over, I’m going to take a trip around the island and go beach hopping. In 10 years, I see myself publishing my own books and having a nice stable job, in addition to being an author.

I decided to take Video Productions because I thought it would be a great opportunity to try something new.  I am looking forward to working with the rest of the crew. During quarantine, I have watched a lot of Netflix shows and picked up a new hobby of boxing. I also hung out and went to the beach with my friends.  Hopefully when this pandemic is over, I see myself hanging out with more of my friends and family.  In 10 years, I will have my college degree and will be pursuing a career in performing arts.

I decided to take Video Productions because this class always has such a happy and supportive atmosphere, making sure everyone is included and overall having fun while doing the assignments. Since this is my third year taking this class, I hope to now gain some leadership skills when it comes to helping my teammates with shows and such. I’ve just been watching a lot of shows during my free time; however, I’ve also been trying to practice photography. Once the pandemic is over, I’m going to hang out with my friends and go somewhere other than my family’s houses. In 10 years, I hope to have a steady and enjoyable career.

I decided to take Video Productions because I love being in front of the camera and making videos. Lancers Lately is something I’ve been wanting to join since I came to the Academy, so I’m so excited to be a part of it. During quarantine, I spent my time working out to the Fitness Marshall, catching up with friends and watching a lot of Netflix.  In 10 years, I see myself being a successful early childhood educator and working towards my goal of being Miss Hawaii.

Lancers Lately was something that my friends and I always looked forward to every week. It made us laugh and smile, as we got to see everyone have fun and, for that amount of time, made us forget about our worries for an upcoming test or an assignment that was due. During quarantine, I have been listening to music, watching shows, talking to my friends, working out and spending as much time as I can with my family. In 10 years, I see myself hopefully doing something that I love while also being able to provide for myself and my family.

I enrolled in Video Productions because I have always been interested in filmmaking, specifically the behind-the-scenes portion. Being on the Lancers Lately crew, I hope to become more confident when I am in front of a camera or interviewing someone. Throughout quarantine, I have spent my time dancing hula over Zoom, sewing, golfing and spending countless hours watching Netflix. When this pandemic is over, I will go to every person I know and hug them. In 10 years, I see myself with a degree in business and working for a company in the marketing department. :)

I decided to take Video Productions because I want to try something new and create new opportunities for myself. I hope to learn to adapt to unfamiliar situations. During this pandemic, I have picked up a few hobbies including, hiking, cooking and baking. At the end of quarantine, I hope we are able to socialize with one another with fewer restrictions upon us. In 10 years, I hope that I am enjoying a successful career and living and enjoying life.

I decided to take Video Productions  because I loved the atmosphere of the class. I really like that the projects are hands-on and allow you to be creative, work with one another and focus on teamwork. During this pandemic, I started to watch a lot of movies. This made me appreciate the time that the directors and actors put into films. Once this pandemic is over (hopefully soon), I would like to see myself back at school and re-connecting with friends and family members. In 10 years, I want to be a successful environmental scientist  and have a steady job in helping out the Earth and its ocean/land.

I decided to take Video Productions this year because I have always been interested in learning about using cameras and figuring out how to edit. I’m looking forward to doing Lancer’s Lately this year because last year it really made me realize how much I enjoy filmmaking. During quarantine, I grew closer with my family and it made me so thankful with what I have. When this pandemic is over, I can’t wait to finally go out with my family and friends without having to wear a mask. In 10 years, I see myself happy and content with whatever I’m doing whether it means getting my education or being in a stable job.

I decided to take Video Productions because I loved being in the class last year. I also liked being a part of Lancers Lately. I look forward to future projects and having to do them from home, which will force me to get creative with the content. During quarantine, I have just been spending time with family and friends (safely, of course) since this could be my last summer home before college. In 10 years, I hope to be living on my own and supporting myself with a home and possibly a family.

I've decided to take Video Productions again this year because last year was so much fun, and I loved being a part of the Lancers Lately. I look forward to being involved in school events and covering important topics in the school community. During quarantine, I’ve mostly been watching movies and listening to music. At the moment, I’m trying to watch the whole Harry Potter series, and so far, it’s been amazing. When this pandemic is over, I want to spend a lot of my time with my friends. In 10 years, I see myself with a boyfriend in an apartment with an Australian shepherd.

I enrolled in Video Productions because I have always been interested in filmmaking, specifically the behind-the-scenes portion. In this class, I am looking forward to increasing my knowledge in videography, improving my editing skills and breaking out of my comfort zone. Throughout quarantine, I have spent my time dancing hula over Zoom, sewing, golfing and spending countless hours watching Netflix. When this pandemic is over, I will go to every person I know and hug them. In 10 years, I see myself with a degree in business and working for a company in the marketing department. :)

I decided to take Video Productions because I love working with technology, and I’m always wanting to learn more about it. During quarantine, I have been spending my time prepping for the SAT, watching Netflix and working out. Whether this pandemic is over in two months or next year, I see myself being able to go out with friends on the weekends and reconnecting with my family members that live on the mainland. In 10 years, I see myself living in my own house with a job as a pharmacist.
