For over 116 years, families and students have selected the Academy because of our academic strength, liveliness and warm of our community and the professional excellence of our faculty and staff. We invite all interested families and students to apply.
Throughout our admission process, our Admission Staff meets with prospective families and gets to know each girl personally. Our goal is to streamline the admission process and help you every step of the way. The Admission Committee considers all aspects of the application and weighs each aspect equally. We still have limited spaces available for the 2026-2027 school year. Please find our admission requirements below.

- Pre-School Applicants must be at least 3 years old and potty-trained to be admitted.
- Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old by December 31 of the school year they are entering.

Submit an application for admission to Sacred Hearts Academy through one of the following ways:

Submit the HAIS Confidential Teacher Reference Report form to the applicant's current teacher. Provide a stamped and addressed envelope for the teacher to submit the form directly to Sacred Hearts Academy. Applicants for Grade 6:
In addition to the Teacher Reference Report requirement, applicants for Grade 6 also have an Administrative Reference Report requirement.
Submit the HAIS Confidential Administrative Reference Report form to an Administrator of the applicant's current school. Provide a stamped and addressed envelope for the Administrator to submit the form directly to Sacred Hearts Academy. The envelope can be addressed to: ATTN: Admissions Office, Sacred Hearts Academy, 3253 Waialae Avenue, Honolulu, HI 96816.
Extra-Curricular Reference Reports may be submitted in addition to the required Teacher Reference Reports.
Admission Testing and Interview
Our office may contact you to schedule an admission test at the request of the Admission Committee. An interview with the applicant and at least one parent may also be requested.
International Student Applicants & English Language Learners will be required to complete an ESL Assessment if accepted to the Academy.
Middle School (Grades 6-8)
