Sacred Hearts Academy After School Enrichment programs are taught by professionals from both Sacred Hearts Academy and various outside organizations. After School Enrichment program tuition fees vary by class.

Class Description: Choir is an excellent opportunity for lower school students to continue their love of music and signing while gaining a strong foundation for participation in the high school choral program. Singers will have the opportunity to participate in festivals and SHA Choral Program concerts. Students will also learn how to audition and will be auditioning for Honors Choir.

Class Description: Creative Movement class is an exploration of music, movement, and imagination. Students will build physical and vocal skills, which will allow them to confidently learn songs and dances. They will create characters and imagine new worlds where those characters can live, as well as learn to tell stories to be acted out by their characters.

Class Description: Is your daughter interested in learning how to grow strawberries, edible rainbow gardens and colorful blooms? Mrs. Prislin's Gardening is Fun class provides different types of engagement for students including planting and maintaining a garden, harvesting, preparing and sharing food, while working cooperatively with other students, learning about science and nutrition, and creating art and stories inspired by the garden.

Class Description: Attention music lovers! This is a brand new opportunity to open your child's eyes to the amazing world of music through violin. No prior experience or instruction necessary. Starting in the Fall of 2018, classes will cover begnning violin as well as the fundamentals of music theory and ear training. Suzuki Book 1 will be used plus supplemental material. |

Class Description: Students who enroll in private lessons of Fundamentals of Piano with teachers from the Masaki School of Music will learn the basics of correct hand position, rhythm and note reading. Those with previous piano experience will be evaluated and a program to develop continued good piano technique and musical awareness through scales, exercises, etudes and appropriate repertoire will be individually selected. Daily practice is required and students will be asked to keep a journal of their practice times. Opportunities to perform in student recitals at the Masaki School of Music will be offered throughout the year with an end of year recital scheduled at Sacred Hearts Academy. |

Class Description: Students are responsible to provide their own ukulele for lessons. Additional information on suggestions of where to purchase an ukulele is available upon request. Thsi course is designed to have students playing the ukulele as well as learn necessary basic chords for the instrument. Music and chord sheets will be provided.

Class Description: Students will be immersed in the Hawaiian culture, language, and history of Hawai'i. They will learn basic Hawaiian songs and hula technique that includes proper posture, steps and hand movement. Students will learn to dance in both the kahiko (ancient) and auana (modern) styles. Hawaiian values will also be practiced in this class.
