Counseling
The Academy counselors work in conjunction with teachers and parents in a student-centered approach aimed at helping each child develop academically, spiritually and emotionally. They are advocates for the students in grades Pre-School to 12, work to ensure each student succeeds in the classroom, develop short and long-term plans for overcoming academic challenges, arrange for tutoring sessions when needed and teach organization and study skills.
There is a counselor for the Academy's Lower School students in grades Pre-K - 6; a Junior High/Freshmen counselor who works with students in grades 7-9; and a counselor for students in grades 10 and 11. At grade 12, the college counselor steps in to assist seniors in completing the college admission process.
