Shay Bonilla, 11th Grade

I took Video Productions because I wanted to learn more about the film industry and what it feels like to be in front of and behind the camera. In this class, I look forward to being an anchor, learning to edit and bettering my knowledge of the industry. In my free time,  I hang out with friends, sleep and relax. I have also been playing volleyball and basketball, as well as dancing Tahitian and hula, since I was 4. I have been running track since I was 10. I am an ILH SAC representative for Sacred Hearts Academy, and I am on the committee for HHSAA, as a representative for ILH.  In 10 years, I see myself earning degrees in Kinesiology and Sports Medicine.

Maia Bristow-Canfield, 11th Grade

I decided to take Video Productions because it sounded fun, and I had friends who are also taking it. I’m looking forward to meeting new people and gaining new skills in this course. I participate in cheer at Island Elite, as well as dance and take theater and voice lessons. In my free time, I hang with friends and family and train for cheer and dance competitions. In 10 years, I see myself with a college education, pursuing a career in performing arts and traveling around the world.

Madeleine "Maddie" de Vos, 12th Grade

I chose to be in Video Productions because I wanted to learn more about how the camera works, improve my editing skills and learn new techniques that will help me later in the production industry. I look forward to filming our school newscasts, taking videos of school events and excelling in my knowledge with the camera and editing process. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, friends and dog, being a youth leader at my church and sailing. In 10 years, I hope to be working in the production industry and traveling around the world with my friends.

Isabella Johnson, 11th Grade

Signing up for Video Productions is the best decision I have made in years. I wanted to be part of a community where we can collaborate and get creative. I also wanted to join The Lancers Lately crew, which I always thought was a cool production. My free time is consumed by social media, reading anything that interests me and geeking over “Star Wars.” In 10 years, I hope to have as many stamps on my passport as possible and at least one college degree I won’t regret achieving!

Mikayla Lancaster-Hoover, 12th Grade

I decided to take Video Productions because I’ve always loved film. I want to perfect the skills that I learned from this class over the past 2 years. I like to hang out with my best friends, take care of my pets and spend time with my oohana. In school, I’m part of The Lancers Lately crew and Lit Core. In 10 years, I would like to be part of the film industry, married with an amazing family and just happy.

Natalie Pagdilao, 11th Grade

I decided to take Video Productions once again to further my understanding of editing, equipment and filming. In this class, I look forward to anchoring and making short films.  In my free time, I like to hang out with family and friends, go to church, sing, dance, bake and especially getting boba with the people I love. In 10 years, I see myself having my own bakery, preferably off-island, called, “SweeTALIE.”

Kadee Wauke, 10th Grade

I decided to take Video Productions because I want to pursue a career in Videography. I’ve been interested in film since participating in my elementary’s broadcast class. Being part of the Lancers Lately crew means I’m able to work with others who have the same passion in videography as me. In my free time, I like to edit photos and videos, as well as dance. I also made my first short film at a local film camp, which is when I really realized how much I love film and how accomplishing it can be. In 10 years, I hope to pursue my dream of having a successful career in filmmaking.
