The
curriculum for Junior High students at the Academy serves as a bridge
between the Lower and High Schools. In addition to building on the
academic foundation laid in the earlier grades and continuing to
emphasize the development of well-rounded individuals, the Junior
High is geared to prepare students for life in the High School and
its college-preparatory character.
Along with a core curriculum of English, foreign languages, social
studies, mathematics, science and religion, students can elect to
explore courses offered in chorus, art, band, computers and physical
education.
The approach in each course is to encourage
the highest possible degree of student involvement. Students are
encouraged to complete daily assignments to the best of their abilities,
and opportunities for additional help are readily available.
