The Living In Faith Experience (LIFE) program enables High School students to establish and nurture small Christian communities in the Marianist tradition in their schools. The core of the LIFE program is a team of students who participate in a summer retreat in California and share their knowledge and understanding with the student body upon their return.
The LIFE team’s focus throughout the year is on establishing and guiding Lancer Christian Communities (LCCs), small student groups that share faith and prayer, and participating in the mission of Jesus to serve others in their schools as well as the larger world community.
In all their endeavors, LIFE members provide opportunities for faith sharing; organize small and large-group experiences of liturgy and prayer; provide opportunities for personal reflection, socialization in a Christian environment and creation of action plans to alleviate needs and make clear and concrete connections between the message of Jesus and the responsibility to serve others.
In March, juniors are invited to apply to be a member of the LIFE team that attends the annual retreat in California. Membership in the LCCs are open to any High School or Junior High student.
