Sacred Hearts has many exciting and fun student clubs and student organizations. With 26 clubs, there is a club to interest every student! Students have mentioned one of the most difficult aspects of junior high and high school is limiting themselves to just a few activities!
Anime Club
This fun club is for students who are interested in Japanese animation (anime). A highlight of the year is attendance at the annual anime convention.
Club Med
This exciting club is for students interested in a career in the medical field. Members work with medical professionals to gain hands-on experience. Students who want to be doctors or nurses are encouraged to join this club.
Code Earth
This club advocates for ecologically sound practices on and off campus in a fun manner.
Craft Club
Get your creative juices flowing by joining the “hands-on” club for students interested in making a variety of self-made items, such as jewelry and scrapbooking.
Damien and St. Louis Cheerleading Teams
These cheering squads promote better relations with our “brother” schools by cheering at various sporting events.
Dance Club
This club is for those who love to dance! Members perform at school activities and for the public.
El Club de las Chicas
The Spanish club promotes Spanish culture, such as food, language, history, and dance.
Future Business Leaders Association
Students who are interested in learning about and participating in activities which promotes business skills are encouraged to join this club.
Interact Club
Interact Club is a service club sponsored by Diamond Head Rotary. Our motto is “Service Above Self.”
The club offers service to the local community, such as helping with the Domestic Violence Action Center and the transitional shelter Loliana Hale. Each year the club participates in international projects such as helping the Aloha Medical Mission or the Walk to End Polio.
Junior Soroptimist Club (“S” Club)
The S Club is a leadership/community service organization. Members serve their school and community by working on projects such as repainting bus shelters in the neighborhood, assisting with the YWCA Garage Sales, working with the Waikiki Community Center, being a pen pal with students from Japan and sponsoring community speakers on campus. This club is one of four service clubs on campus.
Key Club
The Key Club is a junior high and high school affiliate member of the Kiwanis Club. It develops initiative, leadership and good citizenship through service projects such as assisting the Governor’s office during the Governor’s Children and Youth Day at the Capital. Another major community activity is working with Easter Seals during the annual Gingerbread House Making Day. This club is one of four service clubs on campus.
Lancer Christian Community (LCC)
LCC members renew their personal relationship with God through scripture, reflection and interaction with other students in meaningful and spiritual experiences. LCCs are planned and led by each year’s current L.I.F.E. team.
Leo Club
This service club, one of four on campus, is sponsored by the international Lion’s club. It sponsors eye glasses’ drives and other community activities.
Living In Faith Experience (L.I.F.E.)
LIFE is a Catholic leadership program that emphasizes Christian community living, spiritual growth, celebration and communication. L.I.F.E. members serve the school community and larger community.
Model United Nations (MUN)
Are you interested in global affairs? If so MUN is for you! Interested students represent various nations and discuss global issues with other high school and college students from the state.
Mu Kappa (Math Club)
Mu Kappa is a member of the Oahu Mathematics League, and students participate in the monthly scheduled math tournaments. Mu Kappa offers its members an invaluable experience, not only in furthering individual math skills, but also providing experience in competition with students from participating island schools. Math Counts is the math club for grades 7 and 8.
Na Leo Ho’onani Liturgical Corps
The Corps is made up of students who wish to contribute to the liturgy and prayer life of the school through their participation in the different liturgical ministries as cantors, lectors, musicians, altar servers, hospitality and Eucharistic ministers.
National Honor Society (NHS)
NHS is a premier organization which recognizes students who possess qualities of character, leadership, service and academic excellence. Sophomores, juniors and seniors are eligible for active membership in the Society.
Outreach Unity and Renewal Club (OUR)
OUR lives out the mission of the church by reaching into the community to assist the less fortunate, especially the homeless. OUR adopts a homeless shelter at Christmas and holds a Christmas party for the children at the shelter.
Pacific Asian Affairs Council (PAAC)
PAAC is for students who want a greater awareness and understanding of foreign affairs issues with special attention to Hawaii's role in the Asia-Pacific region. The World Quest Competition is part of PAAC. Website
Radio Club
The Radio Club is for you if you are interested in achieving an amateur (HAM) radio license. This Club is also for you if you would like to communicate with people around the world and with astronauts orbiting in shuttle missions.
Robotics Club
The multiple award-winning Robotics’ Club is for students interesting in engineering as a career or all others interested in designing and/or operating robots.
Speech and Debate Club (SHASDA)
SHASDA provides opportunities to participate in speech events and drama activities both on and off campus. SHASDA is a member of both the Hawaii Speech League and the National Forensic League. Join the Club and learn valuable speech giving skills!
Strings Club
Do you play the violin, viola or cello? How about the guitar? This club is for all students interested in playing a stringed instrument during school performances such as mass or pep rallies.
Youth Network Club (YNC)
YNC is one of the newest yet is one of the fastest growing clubs on campus! The YNC is affiliated with the local YWCA and promotes leadership and participation in the community. A school senior started the club and was recognized by the state as one of the top student volunteers in the state.
Zonta Club
The Z-Club is one of four service oriented clubs on campus. Students partner with members of the Zonta Club of Honolulu, a club for professional women and learn invaluable skills such as networking and speech making.
