Performing Arts

Sacred Hearts offers a wide variety of performing arts courses.  The Performing Arts classes provide a rigorous, standards-based curriculum which develops character and life-long learning habits that enable students to make the transition from high school to higher education and a career.

Students in Performing Arts classes:

• Develop good time management skills by maintaining a daily calendar schedule of rehearsals and performances
• Respect instructors and classmates and work cooperatively towards common goals
• Relate the performing arts to their own life experiences
• Connect the performing arts to other disciplines
• Accept constructive criticism in the spirit it is given
• Respect the equipment and facilities in which they work/perform
• Maintain the image of excellence the Performing Arts Department strives to convey on a daily basis
